Your vaccination should protect you for 10 years. Since you received your vaccination 6 years ago you should be fine. Just stay up to date with your immunizations and that should take care of it. They have these shots to protect you before you have a problem. If you are not comfortable, go see your doctor and have him/her check it out.

Tetanus affects skeletal muscle, a type of striated muscle used in voluntary movement. The "spatula test" is a clinical test for tetanus that involves touching the posterior pharyngeal wall with a sterile, soft-tipped instrument, and observing the effect. I dont know whether this serious as Im not a doctor. Better go to a doctor. Hope this helped. Sam.

Its always better late than never. And its good to be safe, rather than sorry later.
It can sit in your system for 3-21 days before it hits, and you can start having symptoms after just 8 days. It really depends on how close to your nervous system the cut was.
Depending also on which type you might/might-not-have gotten, there are some serious penalties to pay if you dont play it safe.

I think your vaccination should still be good although keep an eye on your injury. If it starts to look infected then go and see the doctor.
