Turn your computer off and unplug.
Open up the tower case.
Touch something metal (to prevent static from your body).
Inside, you will see the existing RAM and there should be two slots. If they are both used, carefully take out one of them - there may be two clips at the side holding it in.
Insert the new RAM into the empty slot with the metal side being inserted into the slot.
Fasten the clips.
Close tower and power up. Go to 'my computer' and check that it has been installed - it should now read more RAM than before. If not, open up the case again and make sure it is pushed right in.
Good luck!

Switch it off
Open up the base unit
Look for the ram slots there will be either 2 or 4
One (or maybe 2) should already have ram in it
Put your new ram in the next available slot
Make sure it is seated correctly
Put case back on
Powerup !! :-)

As above - but make sure that you hold onto some metal so that you are earthed! Otherwise you could blow the motherboard + Ram :|
