Better question....Why the heck is Notre Dame even being considered? Army, Navy, Air Force...are you kidding me? Their schedule was a joke and look what happened in the Michigan State game. I am in Ohio and I am a HUGE Ohio State fan. I do not want a repeat in the title game of Mich-OSU, but who else can beat Michigan? I love Boise State and have for a couple of years. They have won me lots of money!!! They have the most exciting offense in the country, but their schedule lacks strength also. I hate Mich, but I think they would tear up Boise. Lets see what happens with USC first.

I believe Boise State should get to play somebody in the BCS. They did beat a team that beat a high ranked team. We may never know how good Boise State is if they done. USC should play Ohio State for the ratings, but give Boise state a chance to prove themselves against Michigan or Florida. Remember Auburn!! We will never know if they were better than USC of Oklahoma two years ago even though they were undefeated. Lastly someone from the BCS should be fired for not creating a playoff system to eliminate any uncertanty. All undefeated teams should be included Here is my scenerio. 1. Ohio St 2. USC 3. Boise State 4. Michigan STate 5. Florida 6. LSU 7 Louiville 8 Arkansas 1 plays 8 2 plays 7 3 plays 6 4 plays 5---- and so on you get the point For the rest there should be a NIT like format to crown the next 16 teams.

Teams play the schedule they are given so YES Boise State should be #2. They are 12-0 just like Ohio State. Lets see 2 undefeated teams go at it like a national championship game should be. They should at the very least be given a shot to play Michigan in a bowl game. If they lose to Michigan then this is a mute point but what if Boise State wins? If both they and Ohio State end up 12-0 they should have to share the national title. This is why we need a playoff in college. Only the best team should get the title. The Best teams are undefeated.

Because of the conference they play in Boise State will never and should never be even considered for a national title game. Any of the top 5 schools would destroy Boise State by 20 or more.

Boise State definitely deserves to play Ohio State in the BCS championship game. Why? Because Boise State won all of their games. It's that simple. Arguing that Boise State is not as good as Ohio State while not allowing them to play each other is pointless. How will we ever know how good/bad Boise State is unless they are given the chance to play?
Boise State is the only other undefeated team in the top 10 and they are ranked 8th in the BCS standings, and 9th in the USA Today poll. It makes sense to allow the only two undefeated teams to play each other. Of course, we all know that an Ohio State vs. Boise State match-up wouldn't be good for television and ad-revenue, which is what is really driving the college football machine anyway. For more here, read BCS controversies in wikipedia Bowl Championship Series (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bowl_Championship_Series).
The irony of it all is that USC, a one-loss team, will probably end up playing Ohio State in the BCS championship bowl. But guess who USC lost to? USC lost to now unranked Oregon State (33 - 31). Boise State handily defeated Oregon State 42-14. So which is worse, Boise State's narrow win over San Jose or USC's loss to Oregon State? For me, a win is always better than a loss.
And Florida's head coach Urban Meyers agrees. He jeeringly referred to the subjective nature of BCS system along with its "style wins" when discussing the possibility of a Michigan vs. Ohio State rematch. In my opinion, there are too many deserving one-loss teams (Michigan, Florida, USC) not to allow Boise State to play Ohio State.
I predict there will be enough snubbed teams at the end of this year's season to finally put to rest the BCS system and replace it with a college football playoff. The status quo and its institutional bias must be eliminated.

Boise St plays in a weak 1A conference, not like USC which plays in a strong conference, and will have played three Top 25 teams in its non conference schedule:Arkansas, Nebraska, and Notre Dame.
So Boise is not even close to USC as far as strengthof schedule.

The answer quite frankly is yes.
IF the Trojans lose to the Irish(which might happen), Boise State should have a clear shot going to the Title Game. They will also need Florida to lose against Arkansas. Wisconisn I belive aleady accepted the Capital One Bowl. Louisville might be the hardesr and so might be the Irish.
If it comes down to Boise State in the BCS Championship
Ohio State 34-10

They should in a way be ahead of USC becasue they havent lost but any given week any given team can win and thats what happened to USC when they played Oregon State. It doesnt really matter who you play it just matters that you won. Boise State wont be able to play for the BCS but it would be good for them to make it but they have NO chance...Rutgers who was even more spots ahead of them when they were both undefeated they didnt even have a chance at the BCS.

OKAY......Boise State, huh? LOOK, Friend, no offense, but, uh.....r u sure that u r not sleepwalking or something? Try pinching yourself real hard B 4 u go and say silly things like that on a public forum.....
Seriously, I don't hate Boise State, but, I get the impression whenever I see their game highlights that I am watching a Div. 1-AA team. IN MY OPINION, if yous want serious consideration for a national championship, I think yous should go down to Div. 1-AA, and you could likely win that title 7 out of 10 years.
Unless there is a nuclear war which wipes out all of the United States EXCEPT for the states of: Idaho, Montana, North and South Dakota, Nevada, Alaska and Hawaii, then, Boise State will NEVER win a Div. 1-A national championship. SNAP back to reality......
GO BUCKEYES!!!!!!!!!1

Won't happen because Boise State isn't in a BCS Confrence. Also not sure I would say they are the second best team in the nation anyway.
