We always hear more stories of men abusing women. What about the women who abuse men? If you're a man, would you stay with a woman who abused you?

I was abused by my mother and saw her abuse my father while I was little. It has really affected me emotionally. I was just curious to know how many men have put up with this kind of behavior.

My mom was exactly as you describe your Mom to be. Abused her children and husband psychologically. My father cracked and left her after 22 years of marriage, took him a lot of time to make up his mind, but here is my take on things.

My mother is a very controlling person with a strong personality. She abuses everybody that she has power over, like her children , employees, and husband. She does that I guess because she is insecure, frustrated and completely lacks self control.

Why do husbands - boyfriends tolerate them? Because they are weak and find that a controlling woman is better for their lifestyle. For example they cannot make decisions for themselves, therefore they leave it up to the woman. Sometimes they do not want to be responsible for anything therefore they lay the responsibility on the woman.

It is like a kind of happiness in slavery, because they want a controlling and abusive person o take control of their lives.

Some guys are too weak to speak up. They deny abuse is happening because they are embarassed a woman is dominating them. It is about control, insecurity and wanting power over someone. It's terrible knowing husbands, kids suffer psychological. The kids are afraid to speak up. They end up the abused or abuser.

Well, my stupid brother in law is...
He was hanging out at the mall with his cousin(yes, a girl, but his cousin by blood) and his girlfriend called. When she heard his cousin in the background she asked who he was with and he told her that he was at the mall with his cousin. She called him a liar and asked him to prove it to her, so they met somewhere. She ended up slapping him across the face for hanging out with his cousin because she is a GIRL! She is so controlling! She tells him what to do all the time and he listens! I am worried about him and cannot understand why he is still with her!!! He is whipped in the worst way possible! He is not techically my brother in law yet, he is my boyfriends brother, I just think of him as my brother.
Then there is my sister(around the same age as my boyfriends brother). She is sooo abusive to her boyfriend! She is always hitting him in the stomach and socking him on his arms and legs, she is soo jealous! If she calls him and he doesn't answer the first time she will call back and ask why he didn't answer the first time and no matter what he says... she always says "yeah, ok, in other words some other bit*h was sucking your d*ck". When he defends himself she gets sooo mean, calls him names and cusses so much. One time she was choking him...he was gasping for air, literally! I just don't understand it...how could you claim to love someone but hurt them so bad...

No, I'd get her a tutor for the tasks that I found her to be fumbling and work out a program of strict practice schedules...like learning a musical instrument!

All abuse is tragic and shameful. I am sorry that your Mom was that way to you. Most women are not like that.

I wish you well. Please get some professional help. Just someone to help you understand your own feelings.
