i just keep nodding in agreement, i couldnt tell a friend to shut up. it would hurt their feelings

half listen so that when they ask u a question that u can't just answer yes and no u can actually answer it. if it gets unbearable than just go to the bathroom or something.

At a point, reached very quickly, I have to tell them to quit. The older I get the less tolerant of chatter I become.

defend myself? If I am a friend I listen and share my own experience. If they catch me at a bad time, I let them know I am otherwise occupied and will contact them when I can give them the time they need. Love thy neighbor as thy self. If they are a friend they understand.

I am too nice of a person, so I would listen to them, but if it got over whelming, I would have to yell at them to shut up already

I love to talk I am afraid of silence.. And all I do to try and stop talking is eat allot of sugar but then I have to run around my back yard like 10 times and then I am very mellow and quiet.....

I will sometimes raise my hand and when they finally acknowledge me I will then say "Can you shut the f#@ up." That usually works for about 5 minutes.
