Not everybody can be a winner. If we all gave up on something just because we knew we're not the best, society would stop functioning. Anyway - the world's cemeteries are full of millions of people who'd give anything to be back here, following in last place in day to day normal goals. Count your blessings - if you're in second place and you can control it - get better!

Because not everyone can be first. If your only object in day to day normal life is to be first then you miss a great deal.
