Could you please tell me if this would be appropiate?

My daughters hair dresser is such a pissa & he makes everyone around him so cheery. He is very flamboyant. We were talking the other day while he was doing my daughter hair & he mentioned he wanted to get out more. Now this is the kind of guy that anyone would want to hang out with & there is a place I hang out that I'd love to invite him to, but I'm not 100% that he's gay & regardless I don't want him to think I'm coming on to him, that would make us both feel wierd. Is it rude to just come out and ask? I want to invite him out but if by chance he is not gay I dont want him to think I'm interested? Please tell me how you would want it handled or if I should just not ask him to hang out. I'd be real upset if I hurt his feelings Thanks for any help you can give

1st of all don't worry about the first answer...he hates everything. Why not just ask him out to a gay place for a fun time and tell him that you are not coming onto him...The truth usually works.

I have no idea what a 'pissa' is, but I get your drift.

I assume you're gay and out, so the next time he says something like 'I want to get out more', or you bring it up (like 'You know how you were talking about getting out more?'), you can say 'Well, me/me and some friends have a place we go to and you can come along and get out of the house. It's a gay venue, though- would that be a problem for you?'.

That's the best way, in my mind. He'll probably divulge that he is gay or not, but even if not, that's okay. I don't see anything inappropriate with this.

I'm gay... and I have no problem w/ this question, gurl.

1.He's flamboyant.
2. He's a hair dresser.

Ummm... I think he's gay. But that's beside the point. If the guy is fun to be around, then you should take advantage and invest in a new friendship. Don't worry about whether he's gay or not, if he thinks your hitting on him or any other little crap like that... not important.
If the friendship takes off, then eventually he'll let you know if he's gay... that's if you really want to know.

Think of yourself as a friend... not a f.a.g-hag.

Just ask the man for god sakes. If he's gay he'll be wondering if your coming onto him or if you just want to hang out. If he's not gay he's gonna think you just want to hang out. He knows you have a daughter so he most likely assumes you are straight. He's just another human being and hopefully not as confused with his sexuality as you are with yours. Stop worrying about what other people are going to think about you and do what makes your life worth living.

well just think up a few ways of handling it...

and think of it from his point of view... how would you react if some one came up to you and did such...

how you would react may not be a good judge for him... but it's a start to figuring out good ideas from bad ones... hehe ^^;;;

If your just curious if he's gay or not.. .ever though of asking his co-workers or a friend of his when he's not around?
