the guy who won american idol does not appear anywhere i saw more clay than ruben what happens with the real winner?

clay aiken is just a better performer

Clay Aiken just seems to have more of a celebrity personality. It doesn't help that Ruben can't seem to come up with a decent single (poor thing). Sorry 2004 was a disaster! Plus Clay Aiken gets more attention by the media because he seems gay but isn't.

Simple, Clay Aiken has a much larger and more dedicated fanbase. They help to keep him in the public eye. They buy his CDs, go to his (mostly sold out) concerts and support his causes (The Bubel Aiken Foundation for example).
He is also a far superior singer. :)

Actually Clay is a better performer with a friendlier personality. He "fit" in better than Rueben.
R. Stoddard does have CD's out, but I don't think they're popular and he doesn't seem to be asked to appear on TV shows to promote them.

any PR person will tell you that Clay is more likeable and less intimidating. Finally it wouldn't kill Ruben to lose a few LBS, wouldn't you buy his record if he looked a little more like Usher and a lot less like Big-E-Small?
