I have heard several stories from other women about how they got pregnant on the last day of their period or few days before their period was due. Ive also heard not every woman ovulates mid cycle. so if a person has sex ten days before period is there zero chance she will get pregnant?

personally, any time you're having unprotected sex, there ISNT zero chance you'll get pregant. every woman's cycle is different, therefore every woman ovulates differently...THEREFORE, increasing or decreasing the chances of getting pregnant on a particular day.

I believe that the best time to get pregnant is 14 days after the first day of your period. If your period started on the 1st December, then you would be fertile on and around the 14th December. Women who get pregnant at other times are very few and far between. For a higher chance of falling pregnant, count 14 days when your period starts and enjoy some love with your partner.

Not saying that you cannot get pregnant at any other time of the month, it is just not as easy.

Hope I have helped.

P.S. I have 3 children and I fell pregnant with all of them on and around the 14th day.

Lets see, in the rhythm method the days are counted from the day your period started. Although no time at all is 100% safe, days 10-21 are the most likely to result in pregnancy. You ovulate every 28 days, so if you had sex 10 days before day 28 then you had sex on day 18. Bingo. Prime time. What colour booties!?

I really wanted to get pregnant , after having two children. I had read that you should start trying to conceive around the 14th day after the first day of your last period when you would be most fertile, I followed the dates closely and took my basal temp every morning religiously....finally we conceived! my baby was born on August 30th 2004 so my calculations were that I had conceived around the 15 of December 2003! what a wonderful Christmas Present!

Good Luck!! and God Bless

When you see/feel mucus on your underwear or on your toilet paper after you wipe, you are ovulating. No mucus, no ovulation and no getting pregnant. For most women, they will start their period about 10 days after ovulation has taken place. (give or take a few days) Figuring out when the best time to get pregnant is not a math problem to figure out, you need to read the signs of your body. Check out the info below, they can give you more advice.

There are two views based on the same biological facts: your body has a rhythm. The bible view about unclean days for childbearing age women was for fertility. The rhythm method of protection are the complement days ie. opposite of clean days. If you are 'regular ' your body temperature changes .5 degrees during ovulation. Use the rhythm method and temperature change to determine Your choice. If you are irregular it is a toss of the coin. The lack of the implantation hormone is what starts menses.

Nothing is ever a 0% chance of conceiving. Whether you have sex 1 day before or 1 day after starting your period, it's still possible to conceive.

I really dont know. but in calendar method of contrseptive 10 days before or after menstration is a safe sex. because the lining of your womb experiences a hormonal change the ovary would not easily relase an egg cell. but today it was proven as otherwise, for it is not certain.
