The flow shouldn't leak out at all with the use of tampons. Go for the heavy strength ones for the first day or two.

I often encounter leakage from the back-side of a pad on the first night of my period and I hate the stains! It happens bcuz the flow actually comes out of the body and 'lands' somewhere, and there is a risk of landing on ur clothes and sheets if the pad is not long enough.

But I would assume u shouldnt have this problem if using tampons, so I would recommend them really! Just make sure u push the tampon far up high enough, otherwise u will be able to feel it inside you when u move about.

Hope this helps

Pads! They are soooo GROSS!!! All I wear is tampons. Pads are like diapers for women. It was clearly a guy who invented these!!!

Use a tampon and a pad as backup if your periods are heavy.
