BIG TIME

I wouldn't say overrated. I think they are no where near as dominating as in previous years. I think a lot of their recent success has to go to Norm Chow when he was the Offensive Coordinator. With Norm at the helm, they dominated and blew out the competition but now struggle and I don't believe it's solely because of player personel changes. USC deserves their ranking though. I'm a Pac 10 guy and feel like the football rennaissance Pete Carroll has restored to USC has given the Pac 10 the respect they deserve.

The situation when Oregon was not allowed in the BCS title game in 2002 would not have happened today if the Pac 10 had the same respect that Southern Cal has earned for the conference since the 2002 regular season

always have been overrated? so they were overrated when they went undefeated and beat oklahoma for the national championship? overrated when they finished #2 after the loss to texas? okay in those years, what should they have been ranked? what a dumbass...

you want overrated?

how about notre dame? yeah they lost only one game to #2 michigan. but WHO do they play? army, navy, air force, stanford and north carolina. jesus christ...

how about florida? two teams from the conference usa and a division 2 team. what a joke...

at least USC played arkansas, nebraska, oregon and cal. then notre dame is on the schedule. there are no teams from a bogus conference or any division 2 teams.

so no, USC is not overrated. after they beat notre dame on saturday, they'll prove it.

most people think they are overrated just because their own team is ranked lower. it's just jealousy...

look, i think pete carroll has done a tremendous job with the usc program. lost carson palmer and troy polamalou and all those guys..found new guys to replace them..kept winning a lot of games and all. usc loses a lot of guys and they keep doing a great job and all that goes to carroll. recruiting, championships, wins...all that. but this year, yes, they are overrated. they have a lot of inconsistency and the team is very young. there's only 4 senior starters on the team so not everyone is experienced.

This season they are. Only four (4) starters are seniors on their team. Im a USC fan but I do think they're kind of overrated.

Always have been overrated and will never be underrated. They get to much credit just because they used to be a good football team but the reality is that they are just a medium rated football team but just getting the attention because of their expectations.

i think they are, dont get me wrong but i think they are a good football team, but if your so good how do you lose to oregon state. look at the other to programs with one loss(michigan to ohio st. notre dame to michigan, florida to auburn) thos teams lost to quality programs.
