I think it is so hot! If guys would just dance like ballet, ballroom, jazz or hip-hop. That is one thing i want my boy friend to do. Guys why don't you dance? And how many girls agree with me? And the guys don't have to be gay. Has any one seen " center stage"?
I dance and i think it would be cool if my boyfriend did to.

Well, I used to take classes for Tap and Gymnastics. But I stopped because lack of time. I also have ballroom danced before and I have done some hip-hop, but would like to learn more. Guys do dance, but most feel stupid, or embarrassed, and others would rather do something else, me on the other had, I think its a fantastic art! I like the networking experience you get from it from the people you meet. It also is a great exercise! I'm not your boyfriend, but I like to dance. The feeling is just incredible, and it really is fun! But that's just my personal opinion.

The male dancers in modern age ballroom dancing r too feminine for my taste and I love to dance ballroom style. Have u seen a male Spanish ballroom dancer how he is so manly erect and not so flimsy with his hand and tight assed. It is the woman in ballroom dancing who is suppose to take Center Stage and she should be complimented by her male dancer not he taking the main role. Her garb and her style illuminates his style or so that is the way it should be. All types of dance r exotic if danced properly. Come on now i also know some people who just don't have any business on a serious dance floor for the life of them. Many folks just don't have rhythm, they have three left feet not just two. Some look so ridiculous it's so funny. But from this male dancer who danced professionally and mainly for myself enjoyment I do think that today's dancers reflect too much feministic moves for my pallid and that it should be cut back so that that form of dancing can attract the true and real masculine dancers of this day and age.

In general...

1.There aren't as many male dancer role models as say action-hero role models. It's not a common type of bloke.

2. Guys are competitive and like to be better than others in as much as they can (so they can impress the ladies). Starting dance lessons in a room full of girls who giggle at you when you mess up can be DAUNTING, especially if you're trying to impress them.

3. Adding to all this, it takes a LOT of skill and practice to dance masculine in ballet...

4. Exercise-wise, most guys would rather martial arts because that way they can appear all warrior-like and still get toned and fit.

I think you are right, I am a ballerina and I didn't dance ballet here in US, but where I danced the guys where very masculine and very nice, but when I came here people think that they're gay but that's not true, and I agree with you.

Men used to always dance; there was a time when going to dinner and dancing was a hot date. This seems to have changed a lot in the past twenty years. Men think they are not macho if they dance. I think that men who won't dance because they think it is "gay" are pathetic, and I pity them. Men who dance have style.

I agree, guys who dance look so hot when dancing.
I saw a dance show with both men and women, and none of the men were gay.

It takes a lot of work to be a good dancer. One has to dedicate a lot of time and effort (not to mention money) in being a good dancer. And a poor lead is immediately noticeable. That's a lot for a male ego to overcome.

Dont know about every other guy but I have better things to do than waste time on a dance floor. I think you have to have high feminine qualities to do ballet or ballroom...and I'm not one of those.

Dancing does things for some people and nothing for others. As for me dancing, I would rather visit the dentist's office and get my teeth worked on than to dance (actually my root canal was as enjoyable to me as dancing). I do like to watch women dance though.
