Those are two very different shows. South Park is much more mature even for teenagers. The simpsons is generally pretty clean, though recent episodes have had some rather objectionable content. Lots of nonsensical violence and swear words are present nowadays in those shows. So no, definetly not what a 2 year old should watch.

No I don't believe so. Children this age are developing a sense of what is acceptable behavior and what is not. Neither of these shows is something I would want my child to be influenced by especially at such a young age. When they are much older you can watch shows like the Simpsons together and use them as a sounding board to discuss what is and isn't acceptable.

I wouldn't allow South Park at all as there are some mature issues that aren't appropriate.

There are so many good shows on these days for kids, as well as a lot of dvd's. I think parents need to be more active in making sure they know what their child is watching, if it's appropriate for their current developmental stage. Parents need to ask themselves what will my child get out of watching this show? Too many people use tv as a babysitter.

Both shows are cartoons geared for adults. A 2 year old is sponge ready to soak any inappropriate language or gross content and chances are that these things will rear their ugly heads at choice places like church or Grandma's house. So, a good parent should probably not let their 2 year old watch South Park or The Simpsons. Stick to Nickelodeon, the Disney Channel and PBS.

I would say no, at least to South Park, it has way to much cussing for a two year old to watch, the Simpsons are not as bad, but I would say neither, but if you want your child to watch one of them two, I would say Simpsons.

These show are written for an older people who know the difference between right and wrong and not for children who will learn bad habits from these types of shows. A good parent would not let a child under the age of 16 years to watch these shows, because if it is on TV then it must be OK to do it.

There are so many nice shows for kids that age. The Simpsons are for alot older kids even though they look cute enough for a 2 year old. Lots of beer drinking, bars, bad behavior, throwing up, people being intentionally stupid and endangering themselves and things like that.
My 6 year old doenst even watch it cause I dont let her know its on.
