The guy can't speak proper English, has had numerous drug arrests, and recently made racist comments about Dallas Cowboys' quarterback Tony Romo. Why hasn't he been fired yet?

If any white commentator made that same statement he would have been fired before the show was over.

OH MAN! He is BRUTAL isn't he??!!

The only reason that I can think of why he is still working for ESPN is because he is so polarizing, people either love him or hate him. People who love him will tune in to listen to him, and people who hate him will tune in to see if he makes a fool of himself. Personally, when I see him on TV or hear him on ESPN radio, that means I turn the channel.

Even a classy guy like Tiki Barber called Irvin an idiot, pretty much saying "Who is he with his past to be criticizing me?"

I have to admit, I missed the Romo comments he made, though. What did he say?

Irvin wanted to pursue an acting career and ESPN did not want an announcer that might be gone for an extended period of time

Michael Irvin is the least of my worries. Stephen A Smith needs to get fired. I usually like arrogant people, like T.O. for example, but this guy really bugs me. Then again it was not quite as bad as the Tim Hardaway experiment.
