GeForce 7900GT or 8800GTX

Well, The 8800gtx is BUT in terms of being able to accually put it to good use you gonn have to wait a year because direct x 10 isnt even out yet and games wont be made with it for a long time so i would recomend the 7900gt. it will be fine untill u decide to upgrade even futher.

If you have the cash and the 8800GTX can fit in your case (its really long), the 8800GTX is far superior.

The 8800 is faster so it should perform better.
