How many people have been in this situation? What did you do? What reasons did your husband/partner give you about not being ready?

Let me put it to you this way, dear.........When you have children and faith, there is always a way to make ends meet. I have one in college and another that is almost 4, it's a struggle but I pray daily that things will be okay and wonderful things happen.......Tell the significant other to have faith, my dear............

My husband was like this when we first got married because he was in the military and didn't want me to go through pregnancy alone when he got deployed. I told him that if something happened to him, I wanted a part of him with me and that would be our child. We conceived the day before he went to Iraq and he was back in time to see our baby born. My husband and I BOTH really want to have a child, however I am always saying how badly I want one, but he reminds me that right now we aren't financially stable and it's better for the baby for us to get on our feet first. It could be different in your case, and it's just something you have to talk about. If you are "ready" but he's just got bad nerves, maybe you could give him some books or something... watch some videos. Good luck...

I have heard that the finances aren't there. Dont' want to have baby until relationship is steady. so on and so fourth

Ask him to explain why he isn't ready. You can say, "I can wait some, but not too long, and give him somany months". Good Luck!
