I read this article a few weeks ago about a community in Nevada, which has a small Black population, considers it an honor to serve White people. In that community it is an age old custom there that when a Black man and Woman turn 18, they offer themselves to certain groups of White people as their personal slaves. The Whites can do anything they want with them because these Black people consider the Whites their superiors.

They cook and clean and do whatever their masters ask them to do even if it involves sexual contact, and they do it with a heart of gladness. There is no resentment in any of their hearts because they consider it an honor to serve such superior people.

I was floored when I read that article. Could something like that actually work? Apparently this community is a shining example, and one of the most sought after places to live in America. In that community the white population owns the Black population and they work hard for their masters and seem to love them for it. Some of the things that these people said in the interview were astounding.

What do you think of this? Do you think that it’s possible for a place like this to exist? Do you thing that it could work? Do you think America and the world need communities like this?

Methinks you've made this up. If you haven't, let's see a link to it.

I'm surprised you're surprised it exists. As a black woman, I personally do not subscribe to the beliefs of these "proud" black people. However, I respect their desire to behave so. That's what MLK Jr. and so many other activists, black and white, have fought for. Psychotic as that sounds, it's true. So what's the "real" fear? That this community's "shining example" will bring about a return of enforced slavery throughout America? There are many cultures, black, white and other, that would be appalled that this community exists within the borders of such an enlightened and "free" country--for reasons solely exclusive to their own cultures. However, I am not surprised, as I stated before. If as black people, we can get over the inbred, subconscious, almost physiologicaly "belief" that we are inferior to whites--stop selling our most precious commodities and talents to the highest bidder, start investing in them ourselves--we can go a long way toward stamping out the need to "serve" whites, with our talents, our minds and our money.
