That depends how sensitive your wallet is!
Seriously as long as it is given with love and tenderness I am sure she will appreciate it, whatever you decide.
If you are on a tight budget as a household, get her something that she would not buy for herself because of the budgetry constraints, such as a beautiful candle you can light for romantic evenings together. Candles are not expensive, but women really like them.
Provided, that is, you are not a rich man who could afford a diamond necklace and then you give her a food processor!

I find that the effort that was put into a gift way out weighed the price of the gift.
What does she like...or need?
Does she work alot and is stressed? Get her bath salts, a bottle of wine and a book so she can have a "spa bath" at home.
Make a coupon book where she can redeem coupons from you; a 20 min massage or a coupon where you do the dishes....or cook dinner...a love making session ....or you doing a load of laundry...
As long as you do or make something that lets her know how much she means to you....will be a winner gift.
Good luck

What is your wife's "love language"? If she feels loved when people do "acts of service" for her, then make her coupons good for free body or foot massages, cleaning for an hour or two, washing her car and vacuuming it out, being her personal handyman for a week, etc. If she feels loved when you buy her gifts, then buy according to what she likes? If she likes to read, give her a favorite magazine subscription. If she likes gardening, give her a gift certificate to a nursery or buy her a special plant to care for. If she likes going to the movies, buy her a pair of movie tickets to see something SHE would like. If she feels loved just having you spend time with her, then give her a book of coupons good for a walk in the local park each week, an hour of cuddling at a time, or a gift certificate to her favorite restaurant where you can sit and talk for hours. She WILL feel special if you recognize HER love language and do those things that will make HER feel loved :o) If you're not sure what her love language is, go to your local library and ask for "The 5 Languages of Love" which is on CD, cassette, video, and in books!

you could make her coupons for things like back rubs, foot massages, candle lit dinner cooked by you, watch any chick flick she wants, -stuff like that or even more intimate things she might like. I suggest going to a craft store like "Michaels" and buying cute paper maybe some scrapbooking paper. Really put some effort into the way the coupons look. If you like this idea I can give you some creative tips on putting it together. Good luck!

Well, I'm just 16 so don't blame me if I do not give a nice answer.
Wake up really early and cook something sweet and nice. Put it in a basket and prepare stuff like you're going for a picnic. Leave her no hint that you're doing all this and leave her a note to meet in the park. Wait for her and surprise her. Give her a kiss after the lovely meal and tell her how much you love her and oh yeah, remember to say "Happy christmas"

I have always wondered why the "Hideously grotesque" are the ones that run up to us and throw their flabby fat arms around us and try to kiss us with their cigarettes hanging out of their mouths, when my wife is around? Hey, just because I was drunk at the time, can not be to blame. Why can't some of the swimsuit models be the ones throwing me kisses while I'm with my wife, so she would be jealous. Oh wait, I guess when I was drunk they were all swimsuit models, that explains a lot.

Why not buy or build a what-not box and put little things in it that bring back good memories of things of the past that u enjoyed together ie ticket stubs dried flowers she must have these things tucked away somewhere so look around and try to put them altogether some how.
