I think its really interesting how people react to marijuana. For some they get "high" and for others it makes them paranoid, or creative. Alot of people say that they didnt feel like they though they should after smoking it. I believe that the effect physcially will relax you and anything that else goes on its really all just in your head. If it makes you creative..then thats just your own jsutifaction for being creative. what are you veiws?

Marijuana is classified as a depressant. This is an oversimplification. It has many depressant effects, like the relaxation you refer to, but it also stimulates the brain's frontal lobes, where "executive thought," or "higher order processing," occurs. This means that the area of your brain where you do most of the thinking that you're aware of is stimulated, so you're going to have more thoughts than usual flowing around up there. Some people are mentally strong enough to use these thoughts constructively, and we call this "being creative." Some people cannot control their thoughts, and we call this "being paranoid." Some people can usually control their heads, but in certain situations, cannot. So the subjective experience is different for every person, every time.

I had a creative writing teacher once who discounted all drug stories. "You don't really know if that's insight, you were just high, and that was just a drug thought," she would say. She was completely wrong. You get to take credit for every positive thing you do on drugs, just as you are responsible for every mistake you make, high or sober, as if it makes a difference.

Everyone's reaction is a bit different. MJ can be a sedative, stimulant etc. Some people are outgoing others go into a shell. Some get paranoid some don't. Plus it depends on the MJ type; sativas stimulate you, whereas indicas relax you. I don't think any drug does more than put you into a slightly different frame...they aren't inherently the thing that increases creativity.

I think it depends on the state of mind your in at the time...

I know friends that use to smoke a lot and there reactions to it where rather diffrent unless they had some realy good music wich usaly just made everyone mellow out and talk and luagh about stupid things...lol

My guess is it affects the emotinal state there in, and there rather suseptable to being infulanced by music.

It doesn't make you creative, but it allows the creative parts of your brain to be heard.
It was reported that marijuana may stave off the onset of dementia and Alzheimer's Disease. That sounds to me like its good for the brain.

That the laws of the land say that it is illegal and as good citizens of the U.S.A, we should obey the laws. Anything that makes you feel or act anything other than the way God has made you should not be indulged in. May God Bless
