usually a lil bit over $100. BEWARE! IF YOU DO NOT PURCHASE RAM THE SAME SIZE OR SPEED AS YOUR OTHER RAM STICK, YOU MAY PERMANANTLY DAMAGE YOUR MOBO.

@50 bucks online for either of the 2 you can use.

Looks like you missed out on all the in store sales.
No problem you can always go online .. I like pricewatch.com and tigerdirect.com for my component needs.
But I always keep an eye out for good instore sales.

Your RAM upgrade is going to depend on what type of RAM you have in there right now.
Your motherboard accepts either 400Mhz(PC 3200) or 333Mhz(PC2700) mhz memory, and you have 2 slots that can be upgraded with 1 GB sticks each - so find out what speed your particular setup is running at, and stick to that speed of RAM - remember you cant mix and match speeds)

Now, dont know which games you intend to play, but if its the realistic first person shootem up games, with all the gore, then Id say at least another 512MB stick if you're low on funds, but most important a decent to good video card.

You have the PCI express slt in your motherboard, so that sets you up for a wide range of cards to choose from.
Pricewatch will have an assortment for you to choose from.

Heck if money is really low, and you just want to play the game on medium settings you could look to spend less the a hundred bucks online to be able to play any game out there.

As far as the MPEG to VCD or SVCD youll need some burning/converting software.
Nero or adaptec do it, I have pinnacle studio 10 that I edit with, but theres a ton of programs that do burning and wil handle the conversion for you

Hope it helps

well a GGC 101 board uses a DDR1 Support Ram & a 512 mb DDr 1 will cost u approx 3300rs Twin Mos/Dynet make which comes with 3yrs warranty...or u could even go for Transcend which is 100rs more expensive i guess...

Also to play hi-end games..get urself a Graphic Card...NVIDIA 512 mb of which 256mb ram is shared & 256mb dedicated towards gaming should work perfectly fine for u...

to convert i generally use the software XILLISOFT convertor...google search for da same...

YOUR MOTHERBOARD ACCEPTS 400 MHz OF RAM . THAT MEANS YOU R HAVING A RAM OF SPEED 400 MHz . I WOULD SUGGEST THAT UPGRADE YOUR MACHINE WITH THE SAME COMPANY AND SPEED (MHz) . THEN YOUR PERFORMANCE WOULD BE DOUBLED . YOU CAN ALSO ADD ANOTHER COMPANY'S RAM BUT IT SHOULD BE OF SAME SPEED i.e 400 MHz OTHERWISE IT WONT WORK . YOUR MACHINE MAYNOT START GIVING A BEEP .
