No, we probably haven't even discovered everything on our planet and yet discontented with it we search the vast universe to see rocks and dirt (how exciting). So much money goes to space exploration and yet people go on starving. People die because there wasn't enough money to buy cleaning supplies and sterilize a third world hospital.

I find it frustrating when people argue that we shouldn’t funnel money out of one project just because there is a more important project somewhere else. It’s flawed logic in my opinion. Ending poverty and hunger is more important than a lot of things; should we stop everything we are doing? No more recycling (I think that’s less important that ending poverty and hunger), no more science or advancement of technology at all (what science or technology is more important than ending poverty and hunger), and we can put a hold on all business and capitalism.
If you’re saying we should put more money towards ending hunger and poverty, I completely agree. Of course the only thing you can do is donate your money and services to end the very things you feel so passionately about.
Human beings are capable of multitasking though. I mean why take the money away from science? Why not take it away from something totally useless (like religion) and give that money towards fighting poverty and hunger.

im might be hated after this but ill give it to ya strait. I hope they do find a new planet where we can move to. I hate all these stupid people in this world who have so many kids and they cant take care of the ones they got already. i know some countrys are poor and everything but most people wont even try to help them selves. Very few do. The ones that usually try come here to the us to make a earning to care for there families but it needs to be done. I fine with that. Bush wants a huge wall to stop the so called illegals from getting in so i wonder where are his priorities. Lucky for me i have a small place to live decent earning and I enjoy life because most people dont have that luxury. Bush spends so much time on other countries not to mention the $ and many people here complain. I live in a small city and you would not believe the lazy s o b's here on welfare. They dont wanna work when they know they get their money every month. Where i live most of the people are african american. the other part is everything else. But i tell ya there the first ones to complain about everyone takin jobs away from the u.s. well if ya dont look for a job dont complain about someone who does. Another planet would mean more political bs every country would fight about who could live there and blah blah blah. Maybe just maybe all the crazy people ffighten over nothin will get eaten by aliens. And no not Ilegal aliens i mean little green men. lol sorry for goin nuts on here.

Discoveries in the universe will open new horizons to future generations and to falicitate the alleviation of poverty, disease and misery. Without new knowledge, man's existence is not only useless, but misery will continue to increase. The world's condition would become more promising, if money and efforts were to be used in broadening man's spiritual vision into the Kingdom of God. Only the divine Light can remove all darkness from this planet.

True but other things need to be looked at. Bio fuel? bad idea. Millions starving every year and we want to put food in our gas tank? A new energy source must be utilized to make energy affordable and plentiful to make every persons life more comfortable and safe.
WATER
HYDROGEN
OXYGEN
LIFE
This energy source must be researched extensively to bring about a true change in every persons life. Then space exploration wouldn't be an issue.
Solutions are within our grasp.

Exactly! Governments spend countless amounts of money on space exploration when that same money, tax payers dollars mind you, could help get homeless people back on their feet again.

I agree with you completely. That is why we need to continue to pray for our government officials and ask God to help them make wise decisions. Not only that, if we all go to the polls and vote against those that do not make wise decisions, they rest of those who run office will stand up and take notice. May God Bless
