Don't worry, I'm not at all considering naming any children this name. I'm not even pregnant right now. I just read it all the time, and even though I think it looks ridiculous, so many people like it that I thought I must be pronouncing it wrong.

Please don't name your daughter this, it's just tacky. Do you want her to be at some interview for a high-powered law firm and have to answer airily, "oh, its heaven spelled backwards!" If you like the phonetic sound of the name, try Neve or Niamh. Both are actual names instead of a playing-an-LP-backwards sort of hidden message.
It also reminds me of the lotion brand "Nivea." That, if used as a given name, would sound like a stripper--not one trying to pay her bills to go to Columbia but one working at WOW--World of Women at the Wisconsin-Illinois border on I-94.

Nevaeh was the name of the last band that I was in. It is Heaven spelled backward. The name "Nevaeh" is pronounced ne-vay-uh.

I have met a kid named "Nevaeh" and the parents pronounced it like it looks, with 3 syllables, so - "Neh-vay-eh" with the accent on the second syllable. neh-VAY-eh.
and yes, they explained to me that it was heaven spelled backwards!
