It depends on every individual, some people take for one lesson 1/2 an hour, some takes 2 hours to learn the same. In this case you have to decide yourself about this. But for sure you should study that time only when you really mean it, means study time means study time, no deviations, nothing at all. You should be unaware of outside world, other than studies. Then 2-3 hours will be more than enough.

Well, that all depends on your year in school, subjects you're taking, your familiarity with those subjects, your teachers, and your personal goals.
If you know how to study effectively, you can decrease the amount of time you spend with your nose in the books, so to speak. More like quality, not necessarily quantity.
In general, like others have said, you should study for 1-2 hours per hour that you are in class. For a high school student with 5-6 core classes per day, I would recommend 2-4 hours a night. If you study a little bit of each subject every night you will probably do just fine.
Prioritize so that you study your most challenging subject first, when you are the most alert. That way you learn more and can spend more time on it if needed.
Good luck with your studies. If you want some study tips, let me know.

There is no hard and fast rule that you should study this many hours. But always make an effort to go through those part of the subject those have been taught on that day itself.
I think 3 hours a day should be enough for you.But in those 3 hours just concentrate on your studies without letting anything else distracting you.
best of luck..

That depends. How long do you have to study so that you understand the material? If there is a big test coming up or if you are falling behind on a subject, extra study time may be needed. Everybody has their own academic strengths and weaknesses, adjust your study schedule according to yours.
