Alot of them start young and might be estranged from their families and friends. I don't care what anyone says, but no matter how much you enjoy sex that won't make you do any and everything on camera for money! For most of us there is no amount of money that someone could pay you to be in porn. I've also read in some women's magazines that porn stars move along quickly in the spectrum of sexual positions and acts just to keep up interest with their audience. Can you imagine being 18=20 yrs old and by the time you reach the end of that year you've done everyone and everything under the sun? I just don't see how it's worth it. I feel sorry for girls that get caught up in that life.

I suppose it depends on the woman, the type of porn that she does, and her circumstances in life.
If the woman is 'forced' into pornography due to her economic situation, it's likely she will be ashamed of it. But given that only a small percentage of female porn stars ever achieve world-wide renown a la Jenna Jameson, it is most likely she hides it from her family, friends, and lovers- that her face exists somewhere on an obscure website or old VHS. She might divulge it to someone close to her, but in the context of it being an awful mistake, for which she will either be accepted or condemned (but more often than not accepted- we all make mistakes).
However, many women choose to do pornography knowing full-well what they are doing and wanting it as a career, and they view it exactly as such. For them, there is no such thing as 'facing their friends'- because what they do isn't any reason to be ashamed. They view it as a perfectly normal and natural, and any friends who don't probably aren't their friends for long anyways. How can they get married? Easily- they find someone they love and want to share their lives with. Oftentimes, this may be a man who is also a porn star, who understands the lifestyle and career and can commiserate and not judge. Even if they don't have porn-star spouses, the men who marry them are likely to have no problem with 'a wife who has been f*cked by many guys before'. Why? Well, just that- what she does is for money, not out of love or care. On the set, she's f*cking; at home, she is making love and being a normal, happy wife. What's wrong with that?
You've got to understand that there are a lot of women out there with different takes on sexuality. Porn is something that society will always need or at least use when available, and they fill that need- often becoming wildly successful (for the top few). Some of them may see it as an art form and be immensely proud of it (and honestly, there are some erotic/pornographic films which truly do take it to another level), some might see it as sex education and changing the world (like Carol Queen starring in 'Bend-Over Boyfriend' or Shar Rednour in 'How to F*ck in High Heels') in a positive manner. These are things they are excited about and would be brag-worthy, not reasons for shame.
It all depends on how you look at it.
Hope that helps you understand!

Maybe a bit awkward, but they must be people who have grown up being very comfortable with their sexuality. Many porn stars keep it secret with fake names until they become too famous and earn good money, which is a good excuse once you have it.

Er. Why shouldn't they get married. It's my understanding that many porn actresses have children at some point. And why on the whole earth shouldn't they "be able" to "face" their friends? Porn is their career, only slightly better than the boring careers of other people who manage grocery stores and sit in cubicles and sell insurance. These women have sex in public for a living, which is no worse a crime than contracting out your brain and body to some profit-hungry business for forty hours a week.
And what about male porn stars? Why shouldn't they be equally ashamed? You've forwarded an enormous double standard.
Like any guy would pass up a gorgeous porn star just because she got "******" in public. If anything, he'd love it.
Why don't you read up on this. There are lots of books. I also recommend Anne McClintock's "Screwing the System" from the journal _boundary 2_ by Duke University Press. Susan Faludi devoted a chapter in her book _Stiffed: The Betrayal of the American Man_ to the new culture of the male porn star.

I would assume they do marry. Probably to someone in the same field as they are in. It is known however, some porn stars have gotten aids through their business life style.

My remark is just sex is something most people do and some use cameras or video themselves doing it to relive the passion. So thanks for sharing the passion and fun

It's business honey. Yes they get married and yes they face everyone. They just don't give a ffffff and smile big when they get their bank statements. I don't exactly condone it but it's just a job and work and emotions are kept separate.

I'm not a porn star.
But I know that some people are more comfortable w/ their bodies & sex than others are.
I'm sure they face their friends like any other working class person. I'm sure people you know who are married (men & women) have been FUC.KED plenty of times. I'm also sure that some pornstars face psychological dilemas as much as Flo servin' coffee @ the Screw You Cafe.
Don't you look down your nose @ them.
