I would say that guildwars is your best bet. Runescape is horrible, expecially after coming from WOW. The graphics suck bigtime, and unless you want to pay monthly, the world is small, and it gets boring very quick.
So ya, go with Guild Wars. Its not as good as WOW, but its the best you are ganna get for no monthly fee. I personally like GW, its a great game.

I don't believe there are any games that are considered even close to the quality of game you get with WoW. I know... the monthly fee is 'hella annoying. That's why I cancelled my membership... I love the game, but I personally just didn't have any time to play and I was throwing money out the window.

Try the elder scrolls they are not online play so you wont have to pay monthly, and another good thing is that you wont have a guy stalking you or some kids looking for trouble or bad mouth guys cursing at you for no reason, cuz its not online. pluse you got 10 different race to choose and create your own character with you own abilities and spells.

Well, there's Guild Wars...but in my opinion that game blows right through the roof. You get what you pay for, and if you want to pay nothing...then you get nothing. Runescape is extremely old school and even looks cheap. I'd pass on that if I were you.

You could play Oblivion, but it sure does require a powerful PC, or an Xbox 360.

You could play WOW on a private server but those tend to be laggy and lack population. Most other mmorpgs are pretty horrible so I'm sorry to say that your out of luck.

you can try MUonline..I played that for a few years..A good private server is darksideofmu.com You can level a bit faster and experience more of the game without playin for a decade because last i knew it was ultra hard to level your character.
