if i install the new itunes will my current playlists etc on itunes remain?

i want to download the new version of itunes, but if i do, will all the playlists, info etc from my itunes 6 remain in the new one/be transferred to it? plz help i dont want to lose all my ipod info! thanx.

It will transfer or at least convert...I've upgraded and didn't notice anything missing.

Yes, nothing will happen you just get a new version.
