Some conspiracy theorists suggest Robert Kennedy or an accomplice.... to keep her mouth shut on some of the darker secrets she was privy to about John Kennedy. But that is.... if you do not buy the suicide story.

It was either suicide, an accidental overdose, or she was taken out by the Mob or the CIA to protect the Kennedys. Elvis knew the answer and was afraid he would be next. That is why he went into hiding.

She had made plans for the next day. So it wasn't suicide. She either made an overdose for herself or she was given an overdose - accidentally or on purpose.
All the people involved that night are dead.
The only way we will know is if someone left a diary about it somewhere.
