If female, go straight to the police.

Your gender makes a big difference in what if any laws were broken, if that is sexist as mentioned below, blame the law.

If as I suspect, he took a picture of a bunch of guys playing at sports with their shirts off, and you are trying to be cute, you should pick another hobby.

Don't listen to Gaspode! That was a very foolish and sexist answer. It doesn't matter if you're male or female. The fact that the P.E. teacher used threats of posting the pictures on the Internet proves that his intent is, at the minimal libelous bordering in criminal. Report this to the highest school administrator and let them handle it internally. Also request that the school administration keep you, and your parents informed of any outcome. Keep in mind that your accusations will most likely destroy this teachers reputation and his career no matter what the outcome.

If you tell your parents and they get the police involved before anyone else, I believe they would get an order to search the house before he had a chance to do anything with them.

Or if you know that he has them on him, they could just search him, once the pictures were found they wouldn't give him a chance to post them.

worse comes to worse, the pictures would be only a little embarrassing for awhile, then people would forget. but he would have problems for the rest of his life if he got caught.

Tell your parents and have the teacher arrested. That is illegal. If the teacher somehow manages to publish the pictures, they will be evidence.

If you do nothing do you really have any assurance the teacher won't post them anyway?

Tell your parents and report him to the authorities right away! Don't let him intimidate you, and don't let him do this to other kids. Be strong and tell on him, so this man can be stopped! Plus your parents would feel upset if you didn't tell them right away. They can help you.
