i think this is awesome that you want to better yourself by controlling your actions. too many people today do not care about improving and just wants to use the excuse this is how i am and i can't change. spend some time alone and experience peace. find out what makes you mad and why this is important enough to you to make you loose your temper. is being angry helping you and the people around you. my friend gets mad very easily and i do not enjoy being around him so i never return his calls. to have a better life do not believe that everyone is ignorant or stupid but be patient and try to rethink what is happening. showing compassion and understanding shows your strength better than anything else.

Anger is a natural human emotion, which..if applied, can be a very productive means of motivation. If you get mad easy, you must first ask yourself if what you are upset about is even worth it. Oh, and the answer about reading the Bible is a great option. Being slow to anger and letting it go before the sun goes down is great....I'm still trying to keep from being ticked off about the same thing the next day myself!

Most of the time, when we lose our temper, we start doing things which we do not think through carefully and when you face the consequences, you regret what you have done. There were times when i felt like punching one of my peers cause he had pissed me off, but when i thought of what will happen to me if i did that, i wouldn't have a clean record and i will feel guilty of it. It will be deep down in my mind for a long time. Hence, i feel that if you start to lose your temper, just cool down, do not act rashly, ignore what the person had said and pretend that he or she is the biggest loser in the universe.

Usually we lose our tempers when we feel threatened in some way: psychologically, materially, or physically. Sometimes it's real hard to tell what is at stake for ourselves. Next time you want to react with a hot temper, ask yourself "what's being threatened? What's at stake?" then ask yourself "will this outburst cost me something else I might not want to lose (or gain for that matter)"

Teach yourself to control your anger. Whenever you get mad, stop yourself from getting mad and take a few deep breaths. You should feel releived. Then, try to work it out.
Another thing is find something to let your anger out on. Preferably some sort of inanimate object. lol It's sort of how when you slam doors when you're angry. You're trying to let the anger out on something. For instance, when I get mad at school, I'll slam my locker hard and it makes me feel better. So, find something that doesn't hurt you or someone else. Like slamming my locker door. Not hard enough to break it, of course. :) I say better someTHING than someONE!

You should find out what makes you mad. Your triggers. Then fix those problems. The anger will, as a result, take care of itself.

The easiest and the most effective way is counting from one to... ...whatever number till you overcome the unwanted feeling.
