Do you like to write with a pen or a pencil?

When I'm writing (poetry, stories, journals) I prefer pencils, non-mechanical. Also like pencils for doodling/drawing.

Pens are great for formal things, greeting cards, and letters.
I love trying out different types of pens. My favorites are all pens that feel good in my hand, write smoothly, and look cool or expensive.

I use to just use pencils, but in several of my classes you are ONLY allowed to use pen. So, now that I have to use pens, I enjoy them more.

Well it depends on the pen because mine has to be a smooth medium point pen, but not gel ink or anything like that. I also like pencil, but you can easily erase it and sometimes you don't want things to be erased.

fountain pens for important things like exams

don't care either way for everyday stuff

but puzzles (crossword, fill-ins, sudoku) have to be in a mechanical pencil (can't erase pen, hate the look of a pencil you have to sharpen.)

then again i am picky about these things...

pens. I don't know why... you CAN'T ERASE!! Pens don't smear all over your paper after awhile though like pencils.
