I am going to pull a prank on my little cousin and want to send him coal ( I am giving him the real gift after the prank). But I would like to know if you are allowed to send coal through the post office.

Yes you can send coal! It's not against the hazmat regulations. I think it's a fine idea but perhaps you should also invest in a stocking for him to hang it with.

I once did that to my little sister and she was smart enough to find some recipe which involved blueing and created a crystal garden from it. She actually liked the coal better than the real present I got her.

I don't know why you would want to do that to your family member; especially if they're young. Try rethinking your prank.
