It is possible that the hormone levels are not high enough right now to register. Also, some preg tests are much more sensitive than others. The same thing happened to me, too. I took a test every day for two weeks before it finally registered on the test strip. Now a days they make some tests that are highly sensitive. They are also more expensive, but if you want to know asap then that is the route to go. Also, a simple blood test at your local Dr. office can tell you for sure, too. And you should also know that most women have a period a little late once in a while and it is completely normal. In fact, I had a regular period for three and a half years, ever since my daughter was born, then out of the blue, I went an additional three weeks without one. The Dr. said that a late period is often caused by your body skipping the production of an egg. So, keep in mind that the symptoms you are experiencing might be caused due to an exceptionally high amount of a particular hormone since your period is governed by several different ones and that the over production of this hormone may be caused by the "skipped" period. I hope I've helped and I hope things turn out for you the way you want them. Good luck!!

Hi, you may be pregnant its very common to have a false negative, I personally was 9 weeks when I finally got a positive result and it was still negative on the urine test. If you can't wait any longer make an appointment to see your doctor and get a blood test it should come back with the correct result at this time. The home pregnancy tests show up if you have a high level of HGC in your urine, some women don't get high readings until later in pregnancy this is why the results would be negative, because your hormone level is low. You can either go to the doctor and get a blood test or wait until you miss your next period to try again with the ho pregnancy tests. Good luck and best wishes.

Your best bet is to go your gyno and get a blood test. Sometimes home pregnancy tests are right. Most of the time if you are waiting for your period and think you are pregnant you won't get it. It's that whole stressing out deal. But definately go to the doctor, the sooner you find out the better for you and the baby inside. Good luck

They are coming up negative because you are not pregnant. When did you ovulate? That combined with when you had sex would be a better way to figure out if you were PG. What you are describing sounds more like PMS that PG symptoms, and if you are stressing that you may be PG, that would cause you to be late.
You also did not mention your age, but I am guessing from the way your question sounds you are a teenager, which means you have not have been menstruating long enough to have regular ovulation.
Wait 2 more weeks, test again, and if it is still negative go see your OB/GYN.

It certainly still could be just a little early for the HPT to be showing positive. Remember, even the slightest line means a positive. Give it a couple more days, and then try again. If you still get a neg, but still are convinced you are pregnant, contact your doctor. They will do a blood test and let you know for sure in a couple of days.

It's hard to say - 8 days isn't really that late. Perhaps the tests don't show anything at this point anyway, even if you are pregnant. You could just be imagining things and maybe it's nothing! It's happened to me! Just relax and maybe it's nothing. If you still haven't gotten it next week, take the test again and see what it says. I have a feeling maybe you're stressed out and you're just late! It happens to lots of people. Good luck.

I know what you mean about silly answers. It amazes me to see them. It is not as if they can help in any way.
Probably a bit early to get the symptons, but it is not unknown for the body to start reacting quickly. I think you need to see your doctor if you really believe you are pregnant and tests are saying otherwise. It could be you have another problem that the doctor may pick up on.

Could be because you think you are pregnant your body is behaving like it is, and this is very common.
Or, it could just be that you tested too early...did you use the first urine of the day? If not, try that. The hormone is strongest first thing in the morning.
If you really doublt your results, see a doctor for a blood test.
Good luck :)

It could be too early. Then again, I've had a tubal ligation and am almost 2 weeks late and feeling pregnant (I've had 3, I know the signs) and have had every type of test possible and they all say negative. So, it could just be late, who knows!
