Things are just things,,,,,,,, spectacular, ordinary, etc., are qualifications we ascribe to them based on what we are and whatever our viewpoint is in relation to the thing concerned!!

When I studied the writings of that much ignored ancient Greek Philosopher, Mediocrates, I learned that there were indeed many ordinary things. And, in fact, the paradox of life is that the ordinary things, a hug, a flower, a cup of coffee, are really life's most spectacular things. But if we exalt them, and treat them as extraordinary, they cease to be ordinary, and, therefore, cease to be spectacular.
