Seriously, I'm not hating on MCR or their fans here -- I don't know anything about them, but I get MCR mentions every time I ask a music question. What's the first MCR song I should hear? Which album should I start with? Are they actually huge? In which parts of the world? Or are they one of those smallish bands with a rabid fanbase?
Or maybe it's all just one guy.

ok um...first what song you should listen to first my favorite one is I'm Not Okay or Hang Em High. The album all depends on the type of music you like. My favorite one is Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge but The Black Parade is good too. And yes they are huge in all parts of the world. And no it's 5 guys. Gerard Way,Mikey Way,Frank Iero,Ray Toro and Bob Byrar.

No they aren't huge. They are just the band of the moment, pushed onto all the "sheeple" by the mulinational record companies. Their music blows, it's been done before (only better
), and the only reason you know there name is cause the record companies want you to (buy there albums that is). Am I hating? I guess... I think i'm getting to old to like the crap i hear on the top 40 channels nowadays. But that's the only place you'll hear MCR. It will not stand the test of time. Of that I am sure.

I love mcr. they used to be really big, and now, not so much. they have released a new song and album, so they'll probably be more in the press then they have been recently. but i love mcr. for me, the second i heard them, i was hooked. i mean, i think most people know who they are. they're pretty popular amoung a lot of different types of people. Im not "punk" or "goth" or "emo" but i love them.. i know a lot of people who like them. very popular in the united states..

I don't know if they are big. All I know is that is love them and I am completely obsessed with them. You should definitely get their albums The Black Parade and Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge, they are both really good. Bullets is good too, just not as good as the ones after it. I love them and you should too! My whole life is devoted to them and Gerard is my hero!!!

No they really are mainstream here in the U.S..check out the songs Helena and I'm Not OK..you can also hear their new song (welcome to the black parade) on mtv a lot....mtv tends to broadcast my chemical romance frequently..so yeah it's considered huge here in the U,S

Ugh. I'm sick of all the panic at the disco fans too. What a buch of pre-packaged, pre-budgeted "lets make an expensive video" pile of crap. But that's just my opinion. I was a kid once and listened to a lot of break dancing music and a-ha.

They are on on latin MTv quite a bit, I sometimes confuse there look with the white stripes. I say here today gone tommorrow.

well the black parade is there new album, and thats meant to ROCK! they are huge everywhere..including on here.
I advise to start with there new one as its probably cheaper than there old one at the moment! so buy that then see if you like then if u like buy more ^_^!

they are absolutely HUGE!!!!!!!!!! the lead singers name is gerard way, and the first song u should hear would be 'helens' and 'welcome to the black parade'. i dont know why you wouldnt know them,their single is number one at the moment!
