Yes, it is very natural for breasts to undergo fibrocystic changes during menstration due to the varying hormonal levels. They should subside after menstration, but if they don't it is a good idea to go to your doctor to have it checked out, and always remember to do a self-breast exam monthly to ensure that you know what your normal breast tissue feels like.

These are swollen glands and ducts (also fibrocystic... but not always)... get some almond oil, or even olive oil, hold it in your hand to let it warm, and then self-massage (or get a "partner" to do it!) radiating out from the nipple to the outer edges and under arm area, slowly working and pressing out the lumps. These lumps have been found to later become a problem for some women; keep the tissue in your breasts soft and pliable, those lumps can stay, and later toxins will collect there...

Yes, many women get lumps in their breasts with their periods. If there are several small lumps that are tender, mobile, and are found in both breasts, this is usually normal. It's called fibrocystic breast changes. If you get these, mention it to your doctor at your next appointment just in case. However, if there is one non-tender lump that is not mobile, you should make an appointment with your doctor to have it checked out.

everyone has great anwers, but please see your
OB if you havn't already about this, and always let them in on this. Remember you need to check them yourself, as well as see the OB once a year unless they have told you to come in more than that.
