I desperatley want to have a PSP but before the purchase i want to have a complete review about different versions of it, their differences, prices and the accessories prices too. For instance the most important question is whether all the psp games are playbale on different versions of psp or not? which version is better? 1.5 or 2.6? ...

For the most part if you are not into hacking the PSP then it does not matter which one you get. They will all work the same. 3.01 is the latest firmware update that you can download from the Sony PSP website.

Just because you can download the US firmware doesn't mean that you can play US movies. The region locked out is built into the hardware, so that's why people have to mod their PSX/PS2 when they want to play Japanese PSX/PS2 games. You also risk the possibility that the US firmware may not work on the Japanese PSP. Sony recommends that you download the each country's PSP's respective firmware.
