If you can contain the excitement, wait another month and personally hand her a Christmas gift with a card attached.....one that you got in the "For Grandma" section :-) She'll know something's up, anyway, when she sees the both of you staring at her all googly eyed w/ those big ol' cheesy grins

When my boyfriend told his mother, what I did was take one of my ultrasound pictures in a small frame, and then he put it in his pocket. Then he met his mother at his sister's house and while they were all sitting there talking about her ultrasound pictures (she had gotten pregnant about 2 months before I did) and baby things, he pulled it out of his pocket and slid it across the table to her.

They both thought he was joking. His mom was sure that he had cut the picture out of a magazine or something, and his sister took it out of the frame and compared it to her ultrasound pics. It took them about 10 minutes to believe it.

When my aunt was pregnant (and I don't know if this is something that would even be possible for you) and wanted to tell my grandma, she waited until after we had a great big family portrait taken. When the pictures came back and we were all looking at them, she said "These pictures are so good. It's really a shame we'll have to take new ones soon."

Everyone was like 'huh?' and she said "There's someone who's not in the picture" and some people got it and were like 'no way!' and 'You're not!'

Another way I can think of is I know a girl who lived a ways from most of her family, so she went to the hallmark store and bought some specialty cards that said grandma, great-grandma, aunt, etc. and mailed them out.

I'm sure you'll come up with something great, and she will be so excited! Congratulations!

you and your husband would desire to sit down down together with her and tell her which you 2 have some very exciting information to proportion and which you the two are certainly greater advantageous than chuffed with this. do not enable any negativity get to you, she would be in a position to come back around to it. she would be in a position to be a grandmother and if she needs a area in that toddler's life she would be in a position to assist you 2. you're a mom now, you may desire to take administration and accountability. the faster you start up making mature judgements and showing you recognize what you're doing, the greater admire you will get from her.

There are so many ways you can tell your mother in law that you are pregnant:
1. Invite her over and sit down to talk and tell her
2. Take her out to lunch or dinner
Emphesize to her how important and special to you that she is involved

Good luck. This is going to be awesome. Congratulations!

i think you should give her a card or make one. Saying something like Im cooking up a special gift for a grandma to be. And if you have a ultrasound pic you could put it inside the card, or stick something about babies inside.

Wrap up pairs of pink and blue booties in a Christmas package. Have her open it early. If you can get a sonogram done to include it in the gift, even better.

Wait for your 1st sonogram, put the pic in a frame and then give it to her as a gift. It's so special to see their reaction!! Get it on film!

Tell her in secret, and then give her permission to tell others before you do. She can let the cat out of the bag sort of in a mother's prideful way.

Well you should tell her as soon as you can. Its not fair to make her wait. If you have told other people already, then she deserves to know.
