why do gays insist on legalizing gay marriage
Gays throw it in striaght peoples face that gay sex has always existed and always will exist lets speak to that point.
So has bestiality and pedophilia.
when the roman legion was out fighting wars for decades they had all kinds of gay sex. but after their wars they went to their "WIFE" and children and went to building their family & society.
gay people throw it in straight peoples face that many so called striaght men in prominent positions have been caught in gay sex scandals.
Thats like saying lets legalize drugs cause so many other people do them the fact is these striaght men veiw gay sex not with love but as an act of perversion. many rich straight married men have gay sex on the side as an act of perversion- nothing more than a fetish.
what gay people are missing is that society does not condemn the gay sex act itself but its legitimizing gay relationships as "healthy" and "normal" & not the deviant trash that it i

straight men who have had gay sex on the side simply see gay sex as a "fantasy" "something to try" "something new" gay sex encounters are a fetish an adventure not something to be legalized and cherished but to be kept behind closed doors like bestiality and pedophilia

legalizing gay sex makes it lose its impact it becomes passe like drinking alcohol when you become of age. most closet gays dont want gay marriage to be legal they at least recognize children are raised best by a mother and a father

angie kaos youre very sharp, you didnt shout at me typical liberal epithet of "intolerant" "single-minded" or "nazi" like some of these losers must think you hit the nail right on the head. my wife and i like to **** around with couples but we know that gay marriage is stupid and gay adoption is out right wrong and corrupts children before they have a chance to ake a decision as an adult as to what perversion they like best. in fact i wouldnt be surprised if the adopted children of these gay heathens dont grow to rebel against them by being straight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is probably going to make some people mad but hey, thats the great part of living in a free country. So here goes.
Gay's make me want to puke. I'm so sick and tired of hearing about this in the media and the only reason im answering this is to satiate my own desire to place my right wing view out in the open.
I dont care what the gay side of sociaty does these days as long as i dont have to hear bout it, or see it. Now whats ging to happen if they allow the gays to marry? Im going to hear about it and see it. So, i guess that shouldnt be allowed. I understand the seperation of church and state, and i also understand that marriage was proposed by the churches. The only thing the "state" has to do with it is "legitimize" the joining of a man and a women. So as a beliver in JC and the bible... i dont see how any church could allow gays to marry and i really dont care what the "state" does because in my book, there is no "legitimate" marrage of a gay couple. I dont agree with the lifestyle and dont think its right. And i hope my kids dont see it or have to hear about it, but since this country is all about the Democrates, im sure they will encounter it even more than i have. I hope the liberals enjoy the increase in AIDS and STD's even more when they legalize the marriages. Thanks for reading my rant.

I have never used any of the 'excuses' you list as reasons for why gay marriage should be legalized.
The only reason I have ever upheld is that marriage is an individual right that everyone should have. We live in the United States of America, a country bound by only one set of rules. They aren't the Ten Commandments. They aren't anything like that- it's the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. It doesn't matter what anyone thinks is wrong, deviant, gross, stupid, or whatever- if it is guaranteed in those documents, you should be able to do it. And civil unions are the second-rate, poor-man's version of marriage, similar something we did away with a long time ago in Brown versus Board of Education- 'separate but equal' does not fly- it's just another means to discrimination.
That's the only reason I've ever believed we should allow gay marriage, and will continue to be. To feel otherwise is to be anti-American and all the ideals we profess to uphold.
I also find it a HUGE oxymoron when you say this: "What gay people are missing is that society does not condemn the gay sex act itself but its legitimizing gay relationships as "healthy" and "normal" & not the deviant trash that it is." Are you telling me that that last sentence was not a condemnation of gay sex and gay people?

There are several issues to address here. First, let's get the obvious out of the way. This isn't a legitimate question rather an opportunity created by the author to bash and attack anyone who responds. Never on this site have I seen so many added comments to an original question. These are each attacks on those who post a response to the baited question. That being said, the real issue here is that all people in this country should have equal rights. This is not an issue of special rights, simply asking for what others have.
An issue our author, "the m," ignores is that these rich, straight married men he speaks of aren't having gay sexual relations out of an act of perversion. In fact their marriage is simply a facade, a "beard" to use an antiquated term and this is the only outlet afforded them due to their circumstances.
Also, something to ponder. Those who fear legalized gay marriage may find some relief in understanding what is sought is civil marriage. Religious sanctity of marriage will be determined by each denomination and/or congregation. Queer couples are simply looking for civil rights and the inherent benefits of legally recognized civil marriage. Those opposed to this are creating a self fulfilling prophecy. The cycle goes something like this, "There is no such thing as gay love, they simply are sexual addicts who want anonymous sex with multiple partners (this seems to be the general idea that is promoted by those against legalized gay marriage and direct the stereotype at both male and female Queer couples)." However, these same people want to prevent any legalized gay marriage in order to prevent any legitimacy to successful long term relationships. It's a catch-22.
The belief that adoption by Queer couples hurts the child is a baseless comment. Research conducted by unbiased researches (as opposed to the various conservative Christian "researchers") have found no detriment to children of same sex couples. Even single parents can be very effective so how can two parents, regardless of the gender, be worse. There also seems to be an assumption that Queer couples hope to make their adopted children "become gay." The percentage of gay children coming from households with same sex parents is roughly the same that come from traditional heterosexual couples.
Another point worth bringing up is that sex is not the defining issue of gay couples: It is love. The author of the "question" dwells on the issue of sex, which is only one facet of any relationship. Furthermore, comparing sex between same sex partners with bestiality, pedophilia, or drug use (all illegal acts -- gay relationships, or even sex for that matter are not illegal) is a straw-man defense. "the m" is bringing up red herrings to draw attention away from the weaknesses of his arguments.
I think that's enough on this issue for now. The m, if you really don't approve of gay relationships, then don't enter into one. One question I have for you, however is what is it that makes you put so much energy into this topic? How have gay relationships interfered with your life, liberty or pursuit of happyness?

Seriously i have never thrown my sexuality in anybodies face and again i have never heard or used the case that just because prominent people are gay means we should get married. it is a right of life to be able to express your love in anyway to anyone you want. Deviant trash, deviant trash is Brittany Spears and 55% of all the other hetero sexual marriages that end up in divorce after a couple of years and a couple of kids for no reason besides the fact that they didn't really love each other in the first place. there is no such thing as "sanctity of marriage" anymore because marriage isn't sacred. It's a whim thing like buying a jacket you really didn't need but because it was on sale you have to have it. so please just come out all ready your secret love partner is waiting in your executive office as we speak.
p.s. expressing yourself is mentally healthy and it should be normal but because of people like you we are too afraid to show who we really are.

it may't be made criminal because of the fact Mr. Bush says; "no"! you recognize that no ability no!! particularly, in fact, gays have the comparable democratic precise as everyone. i'm not gay. i don't believe in being "gay". whether, in case you're taking "gay" peoples rights faraway from them, then who's next? possibly the Christians who're people who choose the gays to not be allowed their constitutionally assured rights? perhaps yours? besides, the gays would come across a thank you to make marriage artwork and do greater advantageous than a success value of fifty%. it somewhat is 50% that particularly stay mutually and not all are greater advantageous than chuffed approximately it in any respect!

OK I have had a "straight" marriage, had two wonderful children and had the whole thing turn into a nasty, hateful messy divorce, I now have a gay partner who happens to be my sole mate and the best friend that I ever had. It ain't all about the "SEX"!!! What you and your partner are doing is not exactly what i would called "traditionally" normal"!!!

I think your problem is that both you and your wife are complete morons. Try growing a braincell in a petri dish before you have ugly, stupid babies that screw up the gene pool more.
I swear to god you retards have made a dysgenic mess of the global gene pool, I can only pray for your annihilation.

I will pray that you will open your mind enough to have a conversation with some gay members of your community and perhaps you will see that they are not the sexually deviant criminals you portray them as. To even suggest that a typical citizen is in the same category as a pedophile is unthinkable and selfish promotion of your closed-minded theories. PLEASE actually MEET some gay people and maybe, if you open your heat a little, you'll learn that there are multiple people in this wide world, not all like you, but still worth getting to know.

Your just down right wrong for saying that. Why are you so worried about lgbt relastionships or any other relastionship for that fact, worry about ur own marriage. Either it be gay or str8. Are you jealous that tom and david are having a wonderful marriage? Better than urs? Get a life and get real!

So from your "additional information" bit, I'm guessing you're one of those "straight" guys who prefers the clandestine nature of his gay 'adventures, and doesn't want the fun of sneaking around spoiled by social legitimacy?
Well hey, you just gave them their next excuse: guys like you won't enjoy gay sex anymore, and so legalizing gay marriage will actually cut down on the number of folks cheating on their wives with closet-encounters...
