Clams.
Fossilized clams on Mt. Everest and definitely in the seas.

Well, if we have been there to discover whatever it is, then humans must have been on the highest mountain and in the deepest seas - so its us, a human !

I think the answer may be forams, the tiny creatures whose shells make chalk deposits.
