No! Perhaps because my life experiences and education has taught me not be intimidated by my emotions. Things I have witnessed, the acts of others, so many things I have seen; that I have come to realize that crying assist my ability to adjust to a situation is nothing more than a normal reaction.
Being 6'4" and once 290 pounds with a personality you don't want to mess with in any way or fashion, allows me to do what I want anytime I want. Besides, I don't care if you object - my feelings are my feelings and they don't belong to anyone else but me.
I do feel sorry who would feel ashamed if they cried.

Never - I've never felt ashamed -
When I cry - I feel like I am more In-tune as a Human being than those who are afraid to show tears or who simply cant
I dont think being able to SHOW your true ,raw emotions is nothing to be ashamed about - I'd be ashamed if I couldn't express them with tears

I feel ashamed because I can not cry except during movies. I was so afraid of being embarrassed, I learned to never cry. It was a mistake.
Change it.

No I feel no shame for crying. Sometimes it is embarrassing but tears are a natural expression of many emotions. I believe that most people who say that they are ashamed mean instead that they are embarrassed for it is usually public crying that embarrasses us.
Given the natural nature of tears, all of us should be comfortable with them. Of course, from time to time they do appear in inoportune moments and it is during these times that embarrassment may happen. Still, one needs to hold onto their humanity and that means be willing to share their truthful emotions. Crying is meerly expression and not causitive. Happy tears, tears of fright and sadness and other tears are a part of the human condition. Embrace it and never feel shame.

i feel ashamed at myself when i cry..because i see that as a weakness of some sorts ..like i really let someone get to me if i cry ..so its more of a issue of not wanting to let the person get the best of me..

I hate crying, and I never do it. Although if someone really pisses me off I'll get "anger tears" but they never actually fall - I just lose my cool instead. I hate crying because it makes people all bloated red and puffy after...just makes me feel worse, whoever said crying is therapeutic needs to shut up and get back to their emo poetry...
But I do have a few tears falling after laughing soo hard at something - that I do all the time.

Yes, when in public, I've always try not to cry in public, but fail sometimes. But it's okay for someone to cry, I learn not to feel ashamed when I cry now.

Nope. I've cried three times in the last year and only once was around other people and I didn't feel ashamed at all. Sometimes its the only thing you can do.
