I think it is staged and scripted. A ploy to get more 'press' and attention to the show and each of the women is going along with it and camping it up because they need to bolster the saging ratings. I don't bother watching anymore. They always did have a way of talking over oneanother and trying to hit on each of the possible likely attitudes of the viewers.
Everything they do is an ACT....

I really have no idea what Kelly Ripa even said to Gay clay to begin with, for Rosie queer'donnel to even lash out at Kelly Ripa. All I know is Gay Clay put his hand over her mouth when she was talking. Then Kelly was no,no, then after that I dont know what was said. If anyone can tell me, let me know.
I watched the video on utube. I really have no idea where Rosie O'queer even got the idea that Kelly's remark about not knowing where Clay's hand has been was A anti-gay statement. She should have kept her big lesbian nose out of it! As far as I'm concerned, Clay had no right to put his hand over kelly's mouth. It was rude and most of all, disrespecful! Clay was A guest co-host. He acted like it was all about him. If it was me, I wouldnt care if it was the freakin President, I would have done the same thing as Kelly Ripa did. Alright Kelly!! Kudos to you.

I think Rosie is responsible for making this a gay issue! Kelly Ripa had every right to be upset, she has young children, he had just shaken the hands of several audience members, and she had every right to comment that she didn't know where his hands had been. She didn't! She doesn't need to bring all those extra germs home, especially at the height of flue season. Sorry Rosie, I love ya, but you over reacted this time.

It was so stupid. Saw the View on the day this all happened - Rosie really overreacted here, there was no hint at all that this had anything to do with Clay being gay - Kelly was right that Clay putting his hand over her mouth was 1. rude and 2. not a great thing to do germ-wise, for anybody. Not that he isn't clean, it's not that - but just from generally touching things, germs are transferred.

i dont think of of clay being gay is the question. I surely have yet to met genuinely all and sundry who shakes with their left hand it extremely is the hand clay placed over kelly's mouth. specific rosie took it alittle far with the homophob comments. what clay did putting his left grant up her mouth shouldn't mirror on him grant southern at the same time as the jersery(the situation kelly ripa is from) cow wont close as much as grant genuinely all and sundry else a raffle to talk .the situation is her on condition that of manners. She isnt the host of the only practice, she and whomever are co hosts. yet nonetheless i think of of kelly ripa is demanding and havent watched the practice on condition that i substitute precise right into a newborn. I dont like clay the two i only so which you be conscious of. and that i thoroughly indiffernt to rosie.

How many times do mothers say "Don't put that in your mouth, you don't know where it's been!" to their kids? That Rosie considers that a homophobic comment is insane. Besides-- Clay refuses to say if he's gay or not, so why is Rosie calling the remark "homophobic"? She should be calling Clay ill-mannered and rude! How dare he put his hand over the show host's mouth like she's an annoying child.
Ellen, who I adore, is gay and doesn't make an issue about it. Rosie talks about her gayness every day. I haven't been able to watch the View since Rosie joined.

Rosie is probably the most obnoxious person in show business and 2nd only to Rosanne Barr as the most foolish. But what do you expect from someone who looks like an over grown midget? She doesn't even realize by saying what she did she called she called the guy an ugly fag. LOL

I love Rosie and all. I think she's the best thing on the View period. However I do feel that she is making a big stink over nothing. I think everyone involved made a big deal over nothing really. So clay put his hand on her mouth. Big deal. So what? Kelly should've just said "I'm sorry Clay, but I am a germaphobe. So can you please remove your hand? Thank you." lol. Or she should've lied and said "I have a cold" lol

Who really cares? Its just a couple of rich broads yelling at each other and calling each other names. There are more important things in the world to worry about.
