Actually my son's band is really popular in LA and abou two months before TomKat met (at least before it was announced to us folks!) he came home and said "OK You won't believe this!" and he rattled off the list, It was Katie, Jessica Alba, Jennifer Garner (who was dating Ben but no one really knew it), Jessica Biehl and MANDY MOORE! They were to read for a movie role and it was supposed to culminate in an after dinner kiss at a restaurant. So each time the couples would go from reading for this role, then Tom would ask them to dinner;they went to a restaurant and Katie was the only one who would kiss him! I laughed at the time, thinking how very strange that would be, then two months later... Hmmm....
If you are also asking if Tom had a Pre-nup, that's right too. But he wasn't expecting any resistance from anyone, (because everyone would want to marry him you know!) and Katies dad is a very savvy lawyer himself and apparently VERY protective of his young Katie. So good ol' Kate will be taken care of just fine in a couple of years!
