Chris Rock does it all the time.....no one says anything. The other black comedians do it and no one says anything. I admit that Michael Richards was waaaaaaaaay over the line. But let a white comedian even hint at the "n" word or something close to it and whamo! he's automatically a racist. Sheeeeesh.

Kanye West took a stand and said some true things about President Bush...and opened some people's eyes.

Michael Richards was not blown out of proportion. Go to YouTube.com and find the video to get your facts straight. He went on a racist rampade, screaming and using the N word over and over, and other things I won't mention.

Michael Richards comment wasn't just racial, it contained suggestions of violence. And it referred to a time when whites could get away with abusing blacks. It went way beyond using the "N" word.

what he said was wrong. but due to 'white guilt' over slavery there wouldn't be many people willing to castigate that person

hate is bad, hate is a disease. we need to treat it as ruthlessly in one case as we do the others.

It's equally wrong. And are you trying to justify what he said? because that's what it sounds like you are doing.
