Went there in March this year and have already made reservations for next year . But all of Jamaica isn't the same anymore than all of America is the same . Negril is the place to be , no concrete jungle there

I went to Jamaica on a cruise 1 year and a half ago. We were only there for the day so I can only tell you what I know. The people were aggressive compared to people in the usa, but not in a bad way. All the guys were coming on to me, apparently, I have the perfect figure for the Carribean countries, not fat, but not stick thin and the men were very vocal about their preferences. We went to the touristy places there and I thought that the residential areas looked a little bit poor compared to the u.s. The scenery was very beautiful and the water was toatally clear. It was definitely a different country. I would like to return someday just to visit that country alone.

It has many similar climate and beaches as my country: Costa Rica. I associate Jamaica with Bob Marley, great singer.

yes i really like jamaica. when you visit that country you get a warm feeling in your soul. you can visit historic landmarks , you get the chance to visit hteir white sandy beaches, have fun in the sun, you can party all night in clubs and just be free.they do not have any age limits for drinking alcohol , they are fun people to be around.

ya mon! Loved it there.

The "must do" as far as I am concerned is to go to Dunns River Falls & climb the 600 foot high water fall. Be sure to have someone film your climb. There will be many locals there offering to do this for you at a reasonable cost - their camera etc.
Treasure the video of my daughter & I making that climb.

The falls alone is worth the trip - but the people... just as you'd expect. And a wonderful lot they are!
