The best thing for cleaning tile floors is muriatic acid. It is available in the pool section of you local home improvement warehouse.

Mix with water according to instruction and apply to tile. Let it sit for 2-3 min to "etch" the tile. Wash with clean water. Repeat if needed.

WD40 works well for removing rust stains from most any item. Spray it on and let it soak for an hour or so.

We have hard water here at our house. Have you used this product called the bar keepers friend. it is a white powder and you just wet the surface and sprinkle it on and let it sit for a few minutes and clean off with a towel. A grocery store or wal-mart should stock it.

I've found that clorox works really well to remove most any type of stain, including rust.

Have you tried "Rust Off"? I have some at home and it has gotten rust off countertops, off carpets, clothing, car seats. Seems to be the only thing that works.

tough question! rust soaks into tile and is the devil to get out. below is a pretty good web site with detailed information. you may have to clean the tile more than once. good luck!

Oil is a rust killer. Have you tried Goof Off? It removes paint, ink, glue, and so on.
