bought a tracfone phone that says insert sim . i have done it properly the way it should go , but it still says insert sim . why is it not working ? i have done it very carefully and is set right , but still it displays insert sim . has anyone had this problem before and what did you do ? help !!

I had the same problem with one of those things. Tracphone had to send me another sim card. I HATE TRACPHONE. Nothing but problems. Gets expensive too.

Tracfones require specific utility. you in all hazard could purchase an upgraded tracfone and use the present SIM card. be careful... no longer all tracfones use SIM playing cards. most of the better end fashions use CDMA technologies from Verizon and US cellular. those telephones don't have SIM playing cards. The balances could nonetheless have the potential to be transferred although.

You probably have to call them and have them send you a knew one. I used to have them so I know. By the way their customer service totally sucks. Plan for them to place you on hold a lot. I spent 45 min on the phone with them.
