Puppies are so much better than Kittens, trust me, you'll like a puppy. Kittens are evil, don't let their innocent giant eyes deceive you.

I don't but I just love kittens-they taste just like chicken.
Well, it depends on what you want. dogs are really faithful, fun companions.
cats are aloof, ignore you and, generally consider you a servant.
dogs poop (and other things) in the house until you get them trained and will chew on the furniture.
cats, I think, are born with the ability to use a litter box. and are much easier to train not to scratch furniture (scratching post)
So, again, it's what you want to get out of your pet. If you're gone a lot of the time then a cat is probably much better-you could leave for 2-3 days and the cat would be fine, the dog would go crazy and probably tear the house up.

i love puppies. the last time i held a kitten i was like 5 and it scratched my arms all up
