when you bought the dvd drive it came w/ a cd. this includes the driver and the software needed to view your dvds. be sure to run the cd first before using the dvd drive.

Try several DVDs to see if any work including movies. If other disks work then it is the DVD. If none of them work then try this.
You could try the System Restore which takes you back to a time when your computer was working good. Go To:
start
programs
accessories
systems tools
system restore
This process is completely reversable. And does not remove your personal files. Just go back one checkpoint at a time until your puter is working good again.

it could desire to be any variety of issues, yet one i've got not seen stated yet is that in many circumstances the drivers for the strain grow to be corrupted. it extremely is a rather easy restoration, if that's so. utilising the gadget supervisor, bypass to the Hardware supervisor and good click on the strain it particularly is in contact. That'll improve a menu, and decide "Uninstall" from those selections. go out from there, and then do a classic close-down of domicile windows and reboot. domicile windows could desire to "see" the strain as "new hardware", and deploy the dazzling driving force for it. as quickly because it particularly is finished, attempt your DVD in the strain back. with any luck that'll restoration the issue. stable success.
