We are destained for a whitewash of the whole series if we continue to play like we are doing.

Clearly, England are not prepared for this test and playing 4 bowlers out of 5 that have been injured for most of the year is not a good plan.

Stick with it though, things will get better but it will be tough to come back and win the series but a drawn series means England keep the Ashes - thats the best they can hope for.

And, before anyone slags off Flintoff too much, his bowling was excellent and he was out of a no ball!!

It was a very pathetic and disgraceful performance by England. If Australia can score over 600 runs and when all their players have contributed by the bat, it is a shame on England side that they could not even manage 200 runs

We'll be back all guns blazing in the second Test. It was a disappointing start to the Ashes, of course it was, but we lost the first Test pretty badly in 2005 and still bounced back.

Another few days acclimatising, a few more hours in the nets, a behind-closed-doors analysis of the Test. We'll be firing again by the time we hit Adelaide :)

Well, if your son wears nappies on his head, it is not surprising what his head is made of then. England produces the best soccer teams in the world. Madrid can have Posh Boy.

Extra hype given to Ashes put players under undue pressure. Englishmen should be calm. In stead of issuing statment they should make the statment through performance. Barking dogs seldom bite.

Yeah, well we here in the civilized nations of the America's usually don't send our children out in the fields when there are lots of crickets out there. If the crickets got into your son's "nappy" (is this like an afternoon nap?) then either keep the outside door closed, or perhaps call this "team" of yours (my friend says this is what you brit's call your fat wives) to put up some sort of netting around his bed. Anyhoo, I hope this helps, and Cheerio's and all that stuff.

The only reason england think they are so good is couse of last year. It is great to bring them back down to earth. They only just won that series and it came down to the last session of the last match and they automatically thought they could come here and kill us. I SAY "The only thing england will leave with is a bad case of sun burn." GO THE DADS ARMY!
