Should i send in my 15inch powerbook if it is a somewhat loose screen hinge?

I bought it refubrished, and when i compared it to other powerbooks it seems a little loose. I didnt buy the extended waranty, but it came with a 1yr applecare, and i bought it last april. Will they even cover this, or should i do it myself.
